Sales Manager

Adam’s Publishing, Inc is seeking an innovative strategic leader to develop and achieve business goals in newspaper, print and online sales.

Working with the out-side sales team, this person will operate closely with the General Manager to develop new markets, new product initiatives and successfully coach the sales team in achieving effective levels of performance.

The ideal candidate will:
• Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to think creatively with an eye for achieving business goals
• 5+ years sales experience, with at least 2 years in sales management
• Solid knowledge of the publishing industry • Demonstrated ability to lead and get results through others
• Build lasting relationships with local businesspeople • Motivated by the success of your team
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and consulting skills

Job Functions
Ad Strategy - This position will manage advertising strategy, both from a business, sales and technical perspective. This role will assist with the budget development and projections for advertising. A great leader will come up with a plan of action to grow revenue and to motivate staff in that direction.
Analytics - This position will also measure the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns.
Shared Responsibilities - This role requires a minimum 50% of their time in the field prospecting and harvesting their own new business, about 40% of their time in the field with MMAEs (training staff and creating optimal solutions for area businesses), and the balance of time ensuring accounts are receiving superior customer service (i.e., campaign metrics, check-ins, etc.…)
