Payroll Associate

BBL Construction Services, LLC is a large, Albany based, design-build construction company.  We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll individual to join our team; this is not a remote position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Process weekly and bi-weekly multi-company, multi-state payroll in accordance with all applicable Federal and State laws and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger; resolve discrepancies. 
  • Timeliness / Accuracy: Responsible for timely and accurate entries of all employee changes (new hires, terminations, deductions, etc.).
  • Prepare: Prepare tax deposits and reporting to various tax agencies.
  • Year-End: Assist in year-end payroll processes.
  • Auditing: Assist in union audits.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly union filings.
  • Collaboration: Interact with others in a professional manner via in person or on the phone.

 

Qualifications:

  • Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
  • 1 year of payroll experience preferred.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal abilities.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Possess leadership & teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 – Timberline (preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and the MS office suite.

 

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00/hour to $28.00/hour, based upon experience.
