The purpose of this position is to coordinate the daily operations of the Aviation Technology degree programs, with a reduced (by reassignment) teaching load per semester.

Bachelor's degree required, degree in Aviation and/or Operations, Business Administration preferred. Master's degree preferred. Three (3) years of full-time experience in Aviation operations or related industries

Current or recent FAA Private or Commercial Pilot license with Instrument Rating required. Previous college-level teaching experience preferred. VA benefits familiarity and/or experience preferred.

  1. Coordinate functional processes within assigned College department or division.
  2. Design, develop and implement department programs or initiatives, in collaboration with full-time faculty.
  3. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain department records and files, as required.
  5. Facilitate and attend meetings, as required.
  6. Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
  7. Manage program expenses efficiently and economically.
  8. Identify access and analyze program data in the college's enterprise system.
  9. Develop new courses, in collaboration with FT faculty, including meeting project goals with business partnerships and course series.
  10. Provide superior customer service and problem-solving to internal personnel and contract training clients.

  1. Develop and revise aviation curricula per industry-standards.
  2. Market and recruit in support of increasing enrollment levels.
  3. Establish, develop and maintain employer and industry-partner relationships to support labor needs and placement/employment opportunities for CCBC students.
  4. Effective advisement of prospective, incoming and existing students.
  5. Work with internal departments to ensure that all existing and new courses are marketed and promoted in the best interests of the College.
  6. Represent and promote the college at affinity groups, professional and business associations, and community and networking events.
  7. Decisive performance in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment.
  8. Oversight of staff, as designated.
  9. Transactional reconciliation in liaison with Finance.
  10. Authorize exceptions and extensions consistent with college policy and precedent, and external compliance.
  11. Liaison with CCBC Veteran's Services Department & VA School Certifying Official (SCO).
  12. Conduct periodic internal audits of both Aviation Department and Flight Training Centers to ensure compliance with CCBC policies & procedures, VA and MHEC policies & procedures.
  13. Teach six (6) TLH per semester (Fall & Spring) on-load.
  14. Direct support of Department Chair.
