PACS Administrator
Associates degree from an accredited institution or two year certification program in Radiologic technology or equivalent or certification in hospital informatics with good understanding of radiology workflow. Bachelor's degree in allied health or computer science or related field preferred. At least 3 years of experience in a position working directly with PACS systems (any field of imaging could suffice in lieu of formal education). Three years PACS administration experience preferred. Certified PACS Associate (CPAS), Certified DICOM Integration Professional (CDIP), and Certified PACS System Analyst (CPSA) or ARRT (R) or related imaging field.
Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel; ability to work efficiently and courteously with all personnel. Advanced computer skills and strong understanding of radiology workflow. Understanding of networking and protocols. Requirement to succeed in position may include expertise in other applications, such as Cardiology applications, Invivo Dynacad, Syngo, Powerscibe, ISP, etc.
