Job Description:
Under the supervision of the FC APIDA Amplified Projects Manager and Faculty Lead, the APIDA Amplified Support Team Member will assist in developing and implementing academic support strategies to increase student recruitment and retention of students served by the college’s AANAPISI Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Asian American, and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) grant. The APIDA Amplified Support Team Member will assist with the day-to-day operations, plan and facilitate programmatic efforts, and coordinate FC APIDA Student Center activities. This grant aims to build FC’s capacity to serve its Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) students more effectively.

Major goals of the grant include:

1) Improve key academic outcome indicators for APIDA and low-income students

2) Provide APIDA-targeted learning community, mental health and wellness support through workshops, activities and opportunities for students and the community, and

3) Establish APIDA culturally relevant career readiness support and programming for students. Additional grant goals include ensuring research informs service approaches, curricula, and overall campus operations to serve APIDA students more effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related area OR at least one (1) years of experience in administering the specified project(s) or similar project(s).

The applicant must be able to demonstrate how their experience with these factors relates to successfully achieving the goals of the position.


Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Knowledge with Federal and/or State grant requirements.

Ability to organize financial and grants management documents.

Experience in being a grant representative and engaging with community partners.

Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.


Working Conditions:


Salary Range: $20/hour
