Job Overview

The program coordinator for youth education will assist in advancing the mission of the Cincinnati Ethics Center with a focus on programming for the campus and Greater Cincinnati community. Core responsibilities will include developing and executing ethics related programming for K-12 schools, organizations that serve K-12 students, UC departments/divisions, and organizations in the Greater Cincinnati Community.

This is a 3-year term position funded from a philanthropic gift, and it is renewable contingent upon adequate future funding.

Essential Functions

Ethics and Dragons:
  • Serve and project leader for the Ethics and Dragons program.
  • Ensure adequate staffing of undergraduate and graduate staffing at library location
  • Serve as point of contact with the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Library
  • Ensure adequate materials and curriculum are in place for each location
Ethics at Greater Cincinnati K-12 Schools:
  • Collaborate on curriculum development projects to ensure program relevance and alignment with educational standards.
  • Organize and facilitate professional development workshops for K-12 educators.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate ethics-related workshops for K-12 students.
Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop graduate and undergraduate students who work on the Cincinnati Ethics Center's youth education initiatives
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • May provide direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

  • Experience conducting educational program development and evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience playing and using Dungeons and Dragons as an educational tool for K-12 students
  • At least two years of experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
