Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Shift
Must be able to work a non-standard work week – Monday – Sunday with some overtime and holiday work. Must be able to travel overnight.
Job Summary
This position will oversee assigned fuel zones regarding proper food safety & adherence to UK Performance Nutrition Standards. This position will be responsible for maintaining par levels and managing budget of the olympic sports fuel zones. The employee will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards from federal, state & local agencies. The employee will counsel athletes with regard to calorie needs, recovery from training & injury as assigned by supervisor.This position will supervise student volunteers & dietetic interns. This position will assess and analyze dietary practices, body composition, and energy balance of student athletes in the context of athletic performance and health & provide appropriate Medical Nutrition Therapy as needed.
There is currently more than one position open for the Sports Dietitian. To be considered for each position, you must apply for each position. One application will not be considered for all positions.
