Waynesburg University seeks qualified applicants for the positon of Campus Security Officer. This is a part-time position. High School graduation or GED equivalency. Two years of experience as a law enforcement officer required, preferably at a higher education institution. Must possess a valid driver's license. Pennsylvania Act 235 certification required; Act 120 certification preferred. Candidate should possess knowledge of the techniques of criminal investigation, including report writing. Candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various constituent groups. Job responsibilities will include providing for the safety of students, faculty, and staff and the security of all university buildings and property by preserving law and order and enforcing regulations. Responds to emergency situations on campus and routinely performs foot or mobile patrols to insure security of university or university lots, buildings and property. The candidate must be committed to the mission and purpose of Christian higher education.
