Engineer I (Public Services – Water Resources)  

Pay Range: $32.96 - $41.80 per hour (Engineering Pay Plan, ENG41 Step 1-13)

Hiring Range: $32.96 - $34.97 per hour (Engineering Pay Plan, ENG41 Step 1-4 DOQ)  

There is one Engineer I opening with the Yakima County Public Services, Water Resources Division. This position is responsible for providing entry level engineering design and project management for assigned Water Resources projects.  

Education & Experience: Associates of Arts Degree, NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) Engineer in Training Certificate AND six (6) years of engineering experience working under the direction of a Licensed Professional Engineer; OR Associates of Arts Degree AND eight (8) years of engineering experience working under the direction of a Licenses Professional Engineer; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; OR any combination of experience or training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
